Weekend Feeding
Week day feeding at our centers is good
It all started when...
We frequently saw some of our children return to the center on Monday morning with clear signs that they had not eaten all weekend. Adding weekend feeding poses some challenges because we cannot just feed the child but must also feed the entire family.
A few months ago the team met with representatives from the Kenyan branch of the Midwest Food Bank. We have tested the feasibility of using food packs. We now have seed money to begin this effort in earnest.
Within the next few months, we plan to begin distribution of food enough to feed each of our lambs families on the weekend.
Currently we are only able to periodically distribute food to the families. This is not enough!
Our goal is to help entire families with food each weekend. The food packs and your donation can make this a reality
